The problems this solves
The same how-to question, every week
Screenshot-laden help docs go stale and nobody reads them. A clickable walkthrough of the real UI answers the question the way you would on a call; except it scales to every customer at once.
Feature launches customers never notice
You shipped it, announced it, and adoption stayed flat. Embedding a 4-step interactive tour in the announcement email and in-app banner lets customers try the feature in a safe copy before touching their own data.
Onboarding calls that repeat themselves
The first 20 minutes of every kickoff is the same tour. Send the demo before the call; spend the call on their configuration instead.
How customer success teams use Mirage
01
Help-center walkthroughs
Embed demos inside help articles. 'How do I set up X?' becomes click-through-it-yourself; with drop-off data showing which step of your own flow confuses users.
02
Feature adoption campaigns
Every release note gets a mini-demo. Customers experience the new feature in 30 seconds without fear of breaking their workspace.
03
Async onboarding
A sequence of short demos replaces the generic first call. Analytics show which accounts actually completed the walkthroughs; an early health signal.
From product to published demo in ~90 seconds
- 1. Capture
Click through your product with the Mirage Chrome extension; it records real DOM snapshots, not screenshots. - 2. Direct
Add hotspots, tooltips, spotlight, and zoom in a Figma-like editor. Brand it with your colors and an intro splash. - 3. Publish
Get a share link and iframe embed. Watch views, completions, and per-step drop-off roll in.
Frequently asked questions
Isn't this what in-app product tours are for?
In-app tours (Appcues, Pendo-style) run inside your live product and require an SDK plus engineering time. Interactive demos are captured copies; no code in your app, safe to explore, embeddable anywhere: help docs, emails, announcement posts. Many teams use both; demos are the zero-integration half.
How do we keep walkthroughs current?
Re-capture the flow after a UI change and republish; the embed updates everywhere it's used. DOM capture makes this minutes, not the re-shoot-a-video afternoon.
Can customers find these without us sending links?
Yes; demos embed via iframe in your help center, docs site, or app dashboard, and every demo also has a standalone share URL for tickets and emails.
